NAI Harmon Group Aids Portuguese Company, Intraplás in Securing First U.S. Manufacturing Facility in Van Wert, Ohio
TOLEDO, Ohio 2/3/2025 – Dallas Paul, Broker and Partner with the NAI Harmon Group Commercial Real Estate Company, has secured a deal to bring an international company to the United States. Portugal-based, Intraplás will open its first U.S. production facility in Van Wert, Ohio. This milestone deal was achieved through the dedicated efforts of Dallas Paul from NAI Harmon Group, who was engaged by Intraplás in September 2023.
The property search initially spanned three states: Missouri, Tennessee, and Ohio. After thorough consideration, the search was narrowed down to three sites in Northwest Ohio. In February 2024, owners and executives from Intraplás visited Ohio to conduct site visits, during which they met with Dallas Paul and Brent Stevens, the Executive Director at Van Wert Area Economic Development, and the Regional Growth Partnership [RGP]. Following these visits, negotiations continued via phone, culminating in the successful closure of the deal in June 2024.
“It was indeed an honor to work with a professional group and bring Intraplás to Northwest Ohio,” said Paul. “Because of their [Intraplás] vision and foresight in bringing state-of-the-art technology to the United States, this will further enhance the economic growth of Northwest Ohio in the food industry.”
The total investment for this project is $40,000,000 and is expected to create over 60 jobs, with 90% of the workforce being sourced from the Van Wert area. Intraplás will bring state-of-the-art technology to their U.S. facility, enhancing the local economy and providing advanced manufacturing capabilities.
A competitive incentive package was negotiated with the help of RGP to establish their operations in Northwest Ohio. Congratulations to Intraplás for making Northwest Ohio (Van Wert) your new U.S. home.
